Aviatrix

Women have always played a big part in aviation, and have been flying airplanes right from the beginning. Against so many societal barriers and pressures, a small group of women pioneers paved the way for more women to take flight and gain their wings. The first woman in history to gain her pilot’s license was Ramonde de Laroche of France, in 1910. That year, countless other women began to gain their licenses in Europe and North America. Nowadays, despite barriers being knocked down, aviatrices make up only 7% of the pilot population worldwide. To all of you aviatrices out there, you rock! Here’s a t-shirt to tell the world that you’re not just a female pilot, you’re an aviatrix!
